We started out the year with a 5 part blog series Beyond New Years Resolutions & SMART Goals. A 5 part blog series is quite the series and the fact we did it on goals and resolutions should tell you we’re passionate about it! Since we are so passionate about it, we thought we should check-in and see how things are progressing.
End of the first quarter
Here we are at the end of March; the first quarter of the year is pretty much wrapped up. How are you doing against your goals? If you are like me, you are wondering how 25% of the year went by so quickly! That can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on where you said you were going to be. At the time of writing this, I’m riding the energy wave of productivity. The extra energy you get from accomplishing the things you set out to do. If you are here with me, congratulations to you and keep it up through the end of the year! You will have a greater chance of accomplishing great things next year if you do so this year.
Get back on track
If you aren’t quite with me and are feeling a little panicked because you aren’t where you thought you would be, you can always get back on track right now. Yes, right now. Start by getting back in the mindset you were in at the beginning of the year when you decided this was the year you were going to do all those great and amazing things both personally and professionally.
Review and move forward
After you’ve gotten your mindset back, go back through the exercises we set out in the blog series listed below and take the necessary action to make this year a great year for you. You can do it, whatever IT might be for you. It is never to late to start and it certainly doesn’t have to be January 1st or not at all.
Done and done
Be sure to ask for assistance where you need it and don’t be afraid to partner with someone if that is what you need to help you get IT done. Chances are good we will be checking-in again at the half way mark and hope you will be able to say, “done, and done!” to yourself as you read the next check-in post.
